One Second
It was great to be a part of this film project. All crew members did such a fantastic job!
A new site and a new composition.
Moon Chase is a fast-paced music which offers a mixture of orchestral sound with electronica. It is in fact an excerpt from a larger concert hall composition I completed several years ago. Recently, after examining the score, I have decided to extract some ideas from it and prepare new arrangements. For this one I ended up with a session with more than 100 tracks! Hope you enjoy it.
Welcome to my site
I am a Melbourne-based (Australia) music composer and arranger. I have degrees in musicology and film music composition. I was privileged to study music under Professors Charles Bodman Rae, Graeme Koehne and renown Polish film music composer and academic Lucjan Kaszycki. I have worked on commissions from the UK, Australia and Poland. My credits include music for various broadcasters such as Discovery Channel (Ghosts’ fleet) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Radio (Beowulf, Tasman angel from hell and others), short films (e.g. for TAV Productions), and remixes. Keep an eye on this site if you are interested in my music for the media!
Terminal Velocity is a fast paced adventure piece for orchestra with a contrasting middle section. […] It’s an inspired piece of writing, and like very little we hear in the present time. The use of compound meter and mallet instruments doubling the strings, as well as the bracing chromatic runs, makes it feel both “vintage” and timeless. Now find your own Hitchcock! For this “epic” assignment (String Chase) you showcased inventive and musically exhilarating writing for strings. In the right kind of film – perhaps a sophisticated period drama or thriller in which the dramatic stakes are very high – this could be a very effective cue. […] Absolutely stunning writing for strings, bravo!
